Ngareta is an experienced Occupational Therapist

Ngareta graduated from the University of Sydney at the Cumberland College of Health Sciences with a Batchelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy in 1994. She comes with a wealth of experience in a variety of areas including acute, rehabilitation, and community settings. She has spent time in regional and remote outreach services while working and travelling around Australia. Ngareta has a background of working in both public and private sectors.

Ngareta is passionate about improving the quality of life of those with complex care needs. She has a special interest in rehabilitation services for those with spinal cord injuries and brain injuries and providing services to those with degenerative neurological conditions such as Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Motor Neurone Disease to name a few.

In 2021, Ngareta became a Certified Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner through the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine. She believes that all allied health professionals are ideally placed to be a voice to improve the health outcomes of others and support people to take control of lifestyle related chronic diseases.

In her spare time, Ngareta enjoys the Coffs Coast beaches, camping, reading a good book, keeping fit and sharing great food with friends and family.
